BFA suspends Kemoeng

Kemoeng said he was still at the office when contacted for comment yesterday afternoon, adding he was unaware of any suspension.

“I am not aware (of any suspension), I am at the office as we speak,” Kemoeng said.

But Mmegi Sport learnt that a suspension letter was expected to land on Kemoeng’s desk before end of business yesterday.

BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti equally said he was unaware of any suspension.  But reliable sources said a suspension letter had already been drafted and was to be delivered to Kemoeng late yesterday.

A media statement was expected on the developments last night, with BFA finance manager, Susan Lawrence filling Kemoeng’s post in the interim.

“It was about his performance and not relationship issues,” the source said.

There are fears that those aligned to deposed immediate past president, Tebogo Sebego face the chop, but Letshwiti was quick to dismiss the reports.

“I am an employer and I know the value of employees. I don’t judge employees by what people say, but what they do.  There is no use victimising employees,” he said.

It is reported that the new president is carrying out an assessment of personnel at the association and more heads are expected to roll.

“The new administration has been assessing each and every single position and those who meet expectations will remain while those who don’t will go,” the source said.
