The event will still be hosted at the traditional host place Botswana Craft on December 9. The duo, comprising Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciza is not new to Botswana soil.
Although they have not been in the country this year, when they resurfaced from their six-year hiatus from music, Mafikizolo launched their re-union at the Fairgrounds to a full house.
They came back re-branded with their hit song Khona, but at the Mascom Live Sessions the group is expected to also sample some of their new music including Kucheza Nawe produced by legendary Maphorisa. With this single the group has said they hope to capture yet again the hearts of not only their native South Africans, but the rest of the African countries.
Although their new sound has proven to be highly accepted in Botswana, it is still their old hits that continue to receive a larger reception.
Their outfits and stage presence have also in their past shows proven to be showstoppers.
For the locals, Thabang Garogwe will represent Botswana on the Mascom Live Sessions stage. Thabang has not released any hit single in the past few years but his single Kea gana continues to dominate local airwaves.
He recently stunned the crowd with his performance at the just ended Hamptons Jazz festival.
