No plans to expel BPP - UDC

This is definitely not true. If any individual within the UDC expressed such a position, we would like to strongly distance ourselves from it.

Consistent with what Batswana want, as the UDC, we will continue to bring all opposition parties together wherever practically possible. The BPP has always been and remains a member in good standing. It has been actively taking part in all UDC activities and decisions. We have no doubt about its commitment to the UDC objectives.

As we have said before, there will always be challenges in the UDC like in other organisations, but what is important is our commitment to resolving such whenever they emerge.  Which is why the matter on the ward allocations deadlock is now with the Presidents of the constituent parties. We are convinced that a solution will be found soon.

In the meantime we urge our members, including the leadership of the constituent parties to exercise restraint and calm.
