The show organisers pulled all the stops and were adamant to point out at the beginning of the auspicious event that it will be a show not to be forgotten.

The bank executives and employees came out in numbers to support their representatives with the venue filled with screams of support and encouragement for their beauties.

In his welcome remarks the CEO of the hosting bank, Stanbic Bank, Samuel Minta said that the Interbanks are a way of allowing the players of the banking fraternity to connect and share ideas on their work ethics and much more.

Every bank had a representative in the Top 15 finalists who were contesting to be stars of the show and the women looked elegant in their attires as they walked gracefully down the runway.

The number of contestants gradually reduced as it went down to the Top six finally culminating in the Top three, who were then crowned by their predecessors. Standard Chartered’s Nametso Maswabi became the queen of the pageant.

She takes over from Botswana Building Society’s Mphoentle Motswagae, who was the queen in the previous year.  The first and second princesses’ titles went to Stanbic Bank’s Batendi Samson and Banc ABC’s Thabiso Joy Jack respectively.

Sapelo hitmaker, Amantle Brown and Samantha Mogwe serenaded the crowd with their melodies, with Amantle Brown singing her new single Colours, which she released recently as a treat for the fans. Both women did acapella versions of their songs as they had a sing along with the crowd.

Even though the event started late the attendees were impressed by the spectacle that they were given.

One guest said it was more than what she had expected.
