Reacxion explains the Gloria Kgosi track

‘Can I hit in the morning’, ‘would you be my morning glory’, ‘I don’t mind you can even be my sugar mommy’.

These are some of the lines by Reacxion on his latest single dubbed Gloria Kgosi, which has made radio hosts, and listeners say it is a controversial song.

“People think this is a controversial song but they are wrong. Through this song I am aiming at celebrating women in general.

We tend to focus on the bad things that people do and forget the good things they have done for us.

So I used Gloria Kgosi that I view as an icon who is always being criticised by people yet she has represented women well through her roles,” the rapper said.

Describing the lyrical content of the song he said he did not literally mean that he wants Gloria Kgosi as his sugar mama but he meant that he would want a beautiful woman like the media personality in his life.

On the song he continuously talks of how beautiful Gloria Kgosi is, his feelings and admiration towards her.

“Upon recording the song Gloria was the first person to listen to it.

She liked the song and does not have a problem with it, she was humbled and even sent me a message when I got home saying God bless you.

She has been helping me with getting it out there.”

He believes that through Kgosi’s work in the media industry spanning over 20 years she is an icon.

The song carries that Motswako and trap element with Pongo Rista who adds some Ragga flavour to it.

The song, which features Pogo Rista, is the first official single from Reacxion’s upcoming album scheduled for late this year.
