Babies call the shots

The Boss Baby, like the name suggests with a huge hint, explores the power/influence of newborns on families though a bit exaggerated and sugar coated with comedy to stimulate humour. This movie is an American computer-animated family tailored comedy film, based on the Best Children’s Picture Book of the Year 2010 of the same title name written by award-winning author Marla Frazee.

In this animation comedy the main focal element is the adaptation by families with regard to coping with new members.  “This relatable story hilariously introduces audience to meet the most unusual baby and how a new baby’s arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator, a wildly imaginative seven-year-old named Tim. It takes on a discovery journey of instant sibling rivalry and baby dictatorship on parents also with a sly, heart-filled message about the importance of family altogether”.

This comedy serenades one just by a glimpse of its infectious trailer. I then found out a good reason behind the film’s chemistry being the fact it was directed by animation blockbuster specialist from Madagascar movie animations. This gentleman is the voice behind lead Penguin Skipper’s voice.

Action

After watching this comedy it made some of us make peace with babies and their ridiculously funny acts. Firstly the film is made wit by the way it intertwines with small things that make a huge impact in reality, as well as the context in which it exaggerates children’s imaginations. For instance The Boss Baby narrator left the audience in stitches with wild imaginations of how children perceive the world around them. It’s really fascinating discovering that whenever seven-year-olds ride bicycles they perceive themselves riding motorcycles as superheroes to save the world.

Apart from that it also shares a significant amount of fantasy. We all know how babies at home like to bask in attention plus comfort of their toys and enjoy every ounce of it alone. Tom McGrath (the Director) brings this behaviour to the screen in epic fashion. Apparently according to this comedy babies these days feel there isn’t enough love to go around, and the reason behind that is because of other adorable creatures like puppies. It seems there is a virtual hostile war for attention, as people are purchasing adorable puppies like Chihuahuas therefore suffocating babies of their natural right to “love”.

I kid you not when I say the production team went all out to ensure enthusiasts ‘go bananas’ when they watch this film that’s coated with so much exaggeration. Furthermore this comedy is very infectious due to the fact that it has a really stylish cinematography. The animation is really provoking in a delightful way, and the characters look incredibly funny.

Meanwhile the film also taps into some real meaningful themes behind its primary objective of hard-hitting humour. The Boss Baby explores issues of love, babies, parenthood, family and pets. This animation not only made fanatics laugh but also mocked some who particularly belong to the parent category. It shows baby dictatorship of the highest level. I mean you all know how babies have become our rulers in families, they can keep one awake at night crying nonstop, refuse to eat, separate parents for the time being during their infancy stage all because they are armed with cuteness, loud pitch voices and their innocent souls. The action from this comedy makes one laugh their lungs out with how babies enslave grown up folks. So The Boss Baby shares this riveting delightful experience with enthusiasts.

Reception

The film and its comedy have been well received by rib cracking hunters (comedy fans). According to box office The Boss Baby premiered number #1 on the box office chart after generating a quick $50 million in a weekend reception. The comedy went further to accumulate an impressive worldwide gross of $360 million in its four weeks in circuit. It has done superbly well bearing in mind that it comes from a $125 million dollar production budget.
