The artist is said to have performed one of his unreleased songs titled Khubama Re Itshebe, and the disc was later misplaced and his management is in panic mode scared that the song will be pirated and released before Vee Mampeezy’s recording label Universal Music has given him approval.

“We are not really sure how we lost the CD, we are suspecting that the DJ might have left it in the decks after the performance. What we are really worried about now is that the song might be pirated and released before we are given approval by Universal Music which will be a breach of contract. We have since put up a P 10 000 cash reward to anyone that finds the CD or has information regarding its whereabouts,” said Vee Mampeezy’s manager Zain Aftermath.

He noted that Vee Mampeezy did not take the news well as he was put to calm down by his management team. The reward was officially announced today and it has brought a number of mixed feelings especially on social media.

Critics have come out to call this a publicity stunt to promote the song in the manner which South Africa’s Babes Wo Dumo did last year when announced that a USB stick with an unreleased song has been stolen and a few days later the song was released after having attracted people’s attention.
