The event, which is an intimate affair with a small audience, featured artists performing with a live band, where they also told different stories between the different musical pieces. The event had veteran rapper Stagga as the master of ceremony.
Photographer-cum-musician Frost Mr 20K opened the event with some soulful RnB music, which he is known to perform on Facebook video skits. He performed tracks such as Breathe and Nnele, which he said were inspired by his love life.
Next up on stage was another soul funk musician, Abigail Isa who rocked up the stage with her guitar, reminding many of Tracy Chapman.
She jammed her original tracks acoustically with her very first song Ounce Upon A High, as she raised the tempo with Jorja Smith’s Teenage Fantasy.
Isa concluded her set with her upcoming single Confessions Of A Lunatic.
In between performances were DJs Scratch and Piet on the ones and twos spinning the decks.
Event headliner, Ammo Ski Mask came on stage to stir things up turning the event into more of a party as the audience got excited, as he performed different hits such as Fxdxd Gxng, Say Grace and Untitled, which had the people singing and dancing to. Ammo Ski Mask called up Ban T on stage to perform an upcoming single with a Naija vibe.
ATI made a surprise appearance on stage, which drove the audience ecstatic as he performed Poelo Morago, clad in a suit.
He pulled his trademark dance moves while on stage leaving the audience yearning for more, as they asked him to perform Khiring Khorong but their plea was not answered.
Apart from the musical performances, there was also an exhibition of local designer fashion outfits from the likes of Keno Suits and March Couture.
Director of the event Drew Chadhall stated that the main objective of the event was to give unknown and upcoming artists an opportunity to headline events and also get to perform on a professional setting.
The next edition of The Gallery House will be held next year in February and the headlining acts are yet to be announced.
