The event will have international wine brands for tasting and wine experts sharing wine etiquette knowledge and culture. Different wine estates such as Noble Hill, Weltevrede, Blaauwklippen, Lemberg, Vergenoegd and Rainbow’s End will have their brands up for tasting.
“At the moment we have six wine estates that will have 30 wines up for taste for the attendants. It will not just be an ordinary wine tasting event as we have also invited a wine expert from Cape Town, Cezanne Kouta, who will be teaching people about the wine culture,” said Elizabeth Baitumetse the Dwine marketing intelligence analyst.
The six wine estates all have different wines that will amount to 30 wines that will be up for tasting. Also available will be unlabelled wines, which are up for customisation.
“Botswana is slowly growing into a wine loving nation. This is why we are hosting these various wine related events because people are now into the wine lifestyle. We want to bring the international standards to the country.”
She noted that at the event Kouta will conduct various wine lessons that range from wine tasting, etiquette and culture.
On the same day Dwine is scheduled to launch the Wine Club, which is dedicate to wine lovers. The club will offer services such as hosting wine related events, wine lessons and distribution.
Apart from it being a wine tasting event Baitumetse said it will also be a family fun day event with a picnic setup. “The event will be hosted just next to the river with a lot of activities taking place that range from wine tasting, fishing, karaoke and other fun activities,” she said.
A few weeks back Dwine introduced two wine brands, Noble Hill and Weltevrede, which have five wines each in the local market.
