The event is an appreciation concert for the assistance that Francistown and its surrounding areas gave Kast during his walk and build up to the successfully held Tlatsa Lebala.
“We have decided to have the event in September because winter would have passed.
Our concept has always been to have it to be an open space event. Around that time the weather will be better for the setup,” Kast said.
With the lineup not yet set up for the event Kast stated that it will be dominated by artists from up north since the event will be held in their province.
The Tlatsa Lebala team has given the general public an opportunity to select the artists that they would like to see perform at the event through a Facebook poll.
“The plan is to fill up the stadium, have fun.
We are excited about the event, the morale is high in the camp.
From the funds we obtained from the previous event we have managed to pay for certain logistics even though we are still looking forward to having sponsors,” he said.
The rapper stated that they are not worried about the fact that the event will be hosted mid-month as they are certain the event will be packed with revellers.
The event is scheduled to start at 10 am till late.
“This time around I won’t be walking from Maun to Gaborone like I did for the main event early this year,” Kast said.
With the event taking place in Francistown the Tlatsa Lebala team is trying by all means to localise it and make it relevant as they are using Kalanga lines to promote the gig.
“Ghetto zwibakanyileni ku zhadza, (sic)” is one of the promotional tags on the event poster.
