The 8,000 resolution music video is a single from the musician’s upcoming 15th studio album is scheduled for release on a date yet to be announced. The music video, which is not yet released was played for the media and musicians last Thursday at Masa Square Centre.
The music video was shot in a mansion in Johannesburg, which makes it one location with cameo appearances from Somizi, Dr Malinga, DJ Bucks, dancers and models. As the champion he dances and sings next to posh cars such as Lamborghini parked outside the mansion.
The 8,000 resolution, cameos, production and storyline brings out some clean video quality, which has become one of the best music videos that Vee Mampeezy has ever shot in his career. He even admitted it saying it is the best video he has ever worked on.
“After Universal approved my album they asked for the video and I told them to give me two weeks. They gave me a budget of R40,000, but deep down I knew that the quality of work I wanted would cost more than the amount they had given me,” Vee Mampeezy said.
He stated that his hustler mentality pushed him to shoot a music video that was worth R250,000 instead of the R40,000 they gave him. The I Do musician said his goal was to produce work that will have him ranked with other African superstars such as Davido and Jah Prayzah.
The music video will be released for the general public in the coming days. After the sneak peek a number of people within the audience were impressed by the music video.
As usual critics had something to say as they asked why Vee Mampeezy had to have international acts such as Somizi, Dr Malinga and DJ Bucks make cameo appearances on the music video without any of his dancers such as Coming Soon featuring.
There was only one notable Motswana face on the music video who is young music promoter and entrepreneur, Xotic Exzozo that made a cameo appearance on the music video.
