The ‘Queen of house-kwasa’, treated her music industry colleagues and media personnel to songs from the new album. She teased the gathering with some of the album’s best songs during the listening session at President Hotel on Tuesday night.

The album has 12 tracks. The songs include, Ga kena molato, the most loved Ka bonya ka bonya, Mosadi tia, Ba mo tsere, A ke jelwe ke pere? Darling wame, Mama, a gospel song Tumelo ke thebe, Leba tsa gago, Bokebekwa, Re tshwana fela and Slizer vs Mingo Touch. The songs that stole the audience’s hearts were Ka bonya ka bonya, A ke jelwe ke pere and Bokebekwa. In her song Bokebekwa, the singer is expressing her jealousy when she sees a woman being intimate or with her boyfriend. She further explains of how she does not want to see any woman threatening her relationship as she would do anything to restore it even if it means being violent.

In Ga kena molato, the artist explains how she has been falsely accused and tried for a crime she did not commit. Ka Bonya ka bonya song tells people to take things step by step and not rush into things. When addressing the gathering, Slizer promised her fans that she will keep on giving the best music at all times. She said she will also give them quality music that will also take the local music entertainment business to greater heights.

“I would like to thank my family, fans, friends and fellow musicians for their endless support. This album was produced for the second time after we decided not to release the first one because we were not satisfied with its quality. As a brand I intend to give my fans quality music at all times. I would like to thank my producers for making this event possible as they worked tirelessly to produce a quality album,” she said proudly.

Giving a keynote address, Brand Botswana representative Gaorekwe Gaorekwe applauded the house-kwasa queen for working hard to give her fans the best music quality all the time. He further advised local artists to treat their music careers as a business.

Gaorekwe said it was high time artists take themselves seriously as each one of them was a brand, which needed to be upgraded at all times. He advised them to always produce quality music that will attract fans from across boarders.

“It is high time you go out there and sell your brands to the international platforms like the queen who has brought us here this evening. I have heard Slizer’s songs being played in South Africa and other neighbouring countries. I would further advise artists and their organisations such as BOMU and COSBOTS to make amends and put their differences aside so that they can work together towards growing local music industry,” he noted.

He expressed a great concern over the recent conflicts between artists and these organisations.  For his part, Slizer’s manager Johnson Gotsilewame urged local radio stations and the nation to support local artists. He said they will work tirelessly to take Slizer’s music to the international market as they intended to sell local talent.
