The show attracted stylists, fashion designers and hair products manufacturers.

Ludo collection started the act through a parade of models on leather apparels blending well with different natural hair styles to brighten the night. The spectators were treated to a fun filled show with a spice of presentation on how to take care of their natural hair from different hair food products.

Melotee collections from Gaborone also showcased African attires of different designs. Ladies and gentlemen models took to the stage to display the amazing designs.  Another fashion brand, Fashion Adventures collection from Jwaneng closed the night with evening gown style which included wedding gown.

The show organiser Kamodi said she was thrilled by the outcome of the inaugural show because she started advertising late and attracted less sponsors. She said the community has to retrace their steps back to the natural way and use the hair products to maintain the good look.

“Natural hair is an art and lifestyle to some naturalists and an inspiration to those who believe in beauty. The purpose of the show was to inspire the Jwaneng community who want to go the natural way and give them an opportunity to learn about hair brands that can keep their hair budding to enhance natural beauty,” Kamodi said.

She urged fashion brands, stylists, hair bloggers and natural hair products manufacturers to join hands to move the artistic and creative industry forward. Kamodi said what thrilled her the most was that all the fashion brands which showcased were young people.

As a natural hair blogger, Kamodi had to travel to Gaborone now and then to look for natural hair products to maintain her afro and she therefore saw the need to bring the exhibitors under one roof to show the Jwaneng community how to maintain their natural hair.

She pleaded with the business community to come forth and sponsor the event to support the creative industry. Kamodi added that with the positive outcome of the show, it will become an annual event.
