The Nigerians will be headlining three music festivals in the capital city in October, November and December. Their music has also been topping charts worldwide.
Of the three coming to the country, Tekno is the favourite, as he had produced hits such as Pana that are popular amongst many of his fans. He is scheduled to perform at the Fables Festival at Duma FM grounds on November 4. Tekno’s performance, the first to be announced during the winter season, got many excited.
A few days ago, social media went berserk when Davido released his tour schedule, which had a Botswana event slated for October 28. There has not been formal communication regarding the venue of his performance, but it is highly suspected that it will be at the St. Louis Festival. The event organisers have been mum on the issue.
Davido’s performance is part of his 30 Billion World Tour that has seen him perform in different countries around the world. His music has been rotating on different platforms with hits such as If playing in every stereo.
Just like Davido, Wizkid announced on his social media accounts that he will be perfoming in the country on December 2 headlining the Diamond City Concert.
This is the first time that top Nigerian acts will perform in the country in just around the same time. There has also been a debate as to whether the Nigerians are slowly taking over from the South Africans, who had been dominating and headlining a number of festivals locally. A number of people, who have shown excitement towards the upcoming performances, are of the view that they should have been given more time in between so they could adequately budget for them.
