North netball league resumes

 

The break was meant to give way to the national team's participation at the Africa Championships held in Blantyre, Malawi. Action resumes at the Francistown College of Technical and Vocational Education (FCTVE) courts at 8:00 am this Saturday with TASC taking on Miscellaneous while Arsenal face Sua Flamingoes.

In the second batch of matches, returning Orapa Wanderers will be in Court One against Botswana Railways (Botsrail) with the new kids on the bloc in Dukwi United taking on the Serowe based, Miscellaneous in Court Two.

'These are the games which were not played during the first round. The fixtures were not played because we wanted to accommodate the senior national team during their preparations and participation at the 3rd Africa Championships,' said the youthful BONA Northern Zone League chairperson, Kgomotso Mtokufa.She said the first round has been exciting with the games played in various areas venues like Orapa, Sowa and Serowe.

She said the expectation is that the teams will display the best netball ever as the first round ends this weekend.'It is our hope that the teams are fired up for the last lap of the initial stanza of the season,' she said.

In other games, Flamingoes will face Morupule Wanderers, TASC will be up against Botsrail with  Dukwi United playing Arsenal. There is going to be a war between vagrants as Orapa Wanderers takes on Morupule Wanderers just before lunch hour.During lunch hour, the nomads of Morupule will take on their neighbours in Botsrail before Dukwi United and TASC wrap up what should be an electrifying day.
