How They Played

Molebatsi (5/10) - He was not badly exposed as he often does when playing in the left back position. Mogaladi (4/10)- He was erratic and made a couple of mistakes at the back with one resulting in Mazembe's goal. He was often too slow to clear the ball from danger areas and to recover often, exposing Chaka.

Motlhabankwe (6/10) -He played well in the first half closing down any attacks from Mazembe's right flank. He however switched positions in the second half and was often exposed by substitute Given SingulumaChaka (7/10)-Apart from the foul that lead to the penalty, he marshalled the defence well and used his physical presence to thwart any danger from the bully Mazembe forwards

Mongala (4/10)- He did not come to the party and the situation was not helped by his teammates playing him high balls, which he all lost to his tall marker. He had a chance to score after being set up by Moloi ,but shot narrowly wide. He was injured and replaced in the 64th minute.

Pontsho (5/10) - Like Mongala, he did not pose much of a threat to Mazembe defence, but on a couple of occasions, he created chances for his mates. He however ran out of steam in the second half and was replaced by Dirang.

Moyana (6/10)- He had a good game generally. He played slightly deep behind Mongala on the left, often assisting Molebatsi in defence and dashed forward to add numbers in attack.

*Godirwang (8/10)-He was the heart and soul of Chiefs' midfield. He shielded the defence well and worked tirelessly to neutralise Mazembe's midfield and helping in attack.

Meleka (6/10)- He performed his defensive duties well but was not mobile enough, especially when Chiefs was attacking.

Kekaetswe (5/10)- He did not get any supply upfront and did not cause any problems for Mazembe. He got injured and substituted in the 82nd minute

SubstitutesRamatlhakwana (5/10) - He came in for injured Mongala in the 64th minute and his presence was immediately felt as he kept the Mazembe defence on their toes with his runs inside the box.

Dirang (7/10)- He rarely put a foot wrong despite coming in with less than 15 minutes of play remaining. He slotted in a couple of defence splitting passes, created chances and won a number of free kicks in dangerous spots.Galenamotlhale (5/10)- He came in the 82nd minute and had two shots that were not too far from the target.
