Braai festival disappoints

Many meat lovers could not wait for Saturday morning to come as they were eager to see themselves in a place filled with different types of meat where they could eat as much meat as they wanted.

People thought that they were going to take part in braaing their meat the way they liked but unfortunately Klipdrift (sponsors of the event) employees and the organisers did the job. The meat was not well-marinated, the maize meal was poorly cooked and they only provided beef leaving those who do not eat beef hungry and bored.

The organisers promised that the garden was going to be filled with braai stands where people would be braaing as much meat as they wanted but that turned out to be a lie as only two braai stands were used to braai the meat that was provided to a large number of people. This made people to wait their turns in  long queues.  The braai competitions that were supposed to be held were never held and the liquor store ran out of beers when the night was still young.  They were left with Klipdrift cola and in order to keep the party going organisers had to make a special for when a person buying two klipdrift beers there being one for free.

Even though the organisers failed to honour people's expectations, the music was good as the audience chilled out and danced to the beat as Master of Ceremony, also Braai Festival coordinator, Mothusi Seitshiro kept the audience busy with dancing competitions, question and answer session when people walked away with goodies from Klipdrift, White Star and other sponsors.

Local DJs in the likes of Ricky Lamar, DJ Chrispin and others kept the audience on its feet with fantastic performances.  The children safely played on a jumping castle as their parents relaxed and had fun. The security was tight and despite the shortcomings of the event patrons appeared to be enjoying themselves.
