Young Motswana producer brings SA, Bots artists together

The 24-year-old Sgirlar says the main thrust of the album is to unleash a new crop of talented motswakolista, thus creating a tight bond between both countries musically.  The album has 20 tracks with the main single, which has been getting massive airplay entitled Sgirlar Mankara.  'People love this song and it looks like they are excited about the concept behind the album,' he says. The other song that many have taken great interest in again is by an SA artist namely Tshabz, the song BotSA, which simply means Botswana and SA combined seems as though it has not only taken local people by storm but it has also been making waves at many radio stations in SA, especially at Valter fm.

In this song, Tshabz is praising the compilation concept but mostly mentioning how happy he is to be working with Botswana artist, the young rapper promises to create more ties with all the featured artists and also introduce them to other SA artists for network opportunities. The project features upcoming artists, including the likes of local artists Bishop, Thobie, B Low, Make Pampiri, Touch Motswak Tswak, Soski, Big L Wasekai, Molf-Easy, Iceberg, Sgirlar Mankara and SA artists include Mrejo, Tshabz, Don Rebaski, Toxic Beatz, Black Infant, Ex the future and Mokapoteni.  The album promises to be a hit in the music industry and it is being currently cooked at LeThabo Media.

The project is scheduled to be this coming Friday and will be distributed in music shops and other avenues but already the first single is online for free download.  Other tracks to look out for are Sharp Howzeda by Touch, B-low and Molf-Easy, which is a weekend party track and there is also an inspiration track by a Ramotswa artist named Siska Dolla called Dedication, which is a dedication to his late girlfriend. Owner of LeThabo Media, producer Thabo Rantao, otherwise known as Touch, said featuring SA artists was a way of giving the project a wider market for both countries.  'So far a lot of SA artists are impressed with Sgirlar's production quality and they want to work with him to an extent that they even say out his name and my company name during interviews on radio and TV as a token of appreciation to our working relationship; we are very excited as this might open doors for us all,' he said.
