Nigerian rescues Eugene

The man was in the country for the Junior Chambers International (JCI) African and Middle East conference that has been ongoing since the 8th.  Jackson who has recently relocated to South Africa (SA) to spread his wings and also increase his knowledge of music by studying sound further was scheduled to perform at the event.

Long before the man took to the stage, Eugene did a few songs with his team.   Although he still performed well, some people could sense that there were some problems.  Then all went back to normal when he sang his lungs out and decided to engage the crowd.  That was when the Nigerian man walked on to the stage and asked him to sing, little did he know that the man would steal his thunder and turn the lime light on himself.

The audience could not help it as they gathered to the dance floor to show their dancing skills as the man from Naija sang his heart out singing Sweat by the famous Inner Circle.  The audience that initially looked bored and tired suddenly turned lively.A few attendees who could not stop singing praises to the Nigerian man, said that his voice could even heal the sick.  'Wow I was so touched by the way he sings,' said one attendee.

Eugene not one to be outshined decided to join the man back on stage and sang along with him.Looking rather disappointed, Eugene said that the problem was with the band that was supposed to perform with them which did not show up.  'The reason for all this is because there was a band that was supposed to perform but dropped us at the last minute,' he said.

The JCI is a non-government organisation that is found in different countries all over the world and this year Botswana was the host, the award ceremony was also dominated by Nigerians who scooped many awards including the best local president, Best Local Millennium Project, the Best National Growth and Development Programme and Best JCI English Debating Championship followed by Zimbabwe who pocketed two awards for Best Local Economic Development and Most Outstanding Local Project and Mauritius taking home awards for Best Local Community Empowerment Programme and Most Outstanding New Member.  Unfortunately Botswana did not receive any award but praises were given for a job well done to JCI president Kabo Garechaba and conference organiser Oyapo Letsholo.
