Lesole preaches the Gospel

Lesole told Showbiz in Gaborone yesterday that he is overwhelmed by the positive response his album has received. He said what sets it apart from the rest that he has released is that it is one project closer to his heart.'I worked on it by myself and can feel and hear my growth and maturity over the years in perfecting my artistry,' he said.

Lesole also said that he had to engage some people in helping him choose a radio and video single as all songs are good but they all decided on the track Nkabo ke le ka, which has happily become most people's favourite.'The song talks about the love and sacrifice that God has and that He sacrificed his only son Jesus to come to earth and die for our sins yet people take this love for granted. In this song I am asking where we would be if it were not for the unconditional love and grace that God has for us?' he explained.

He further said that when people think of gospel, they only think about music played only on a Sunday or in church, but he says this is not the case with his music as it can be played on any day or occasion.'My album consists of soulful music that can mend broken hearts, give hope to many believers and people of different ages. Anyone can relate to the songs as they touch on different situations in life,' he said. The album is titled, I Believe and consists of 14 tracks.Lesole also features an upcoming musician, Doba and a Zimbabwe artist Pastor G on some of the tracks.

Other notable songs include A re kopaneng, which Lesole did with the Remmogo All Stars group. There is also Mme le Ntate, which is a dedication to parents, as well as I need you and The one I live for.The whole album is well put together and reflects artistic talent and meticulous preparation in sealing the finished product.

Lesole added that his main inspiration is God. 'I believe in spreading the gospel or good news as a servant of God. I see this as my duty as I believe I must share my talent with the world. I am blessed and this is proven in the album,' he said.
