Thieves grab P500, 000 in Tutume heist

He said the guard at the offices was present when the thieves stole the money although he did not see them. Nkhwanana said investigations are continuing although they are yet to arrest anyone in connection with the theft.

He said the stolen money was meant to pay farmers under the Integrated Support Programme for Arable Agricultural Development (ISPAAD) scheme. He appealed to members of the public to help the police to arrest the thieves. He said that the public should not fear to give information to the police because whatever they disclose will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
