Prisons XI upbeat about surviving relegation

An upbeat Prisons XI coach, Maxwell Moyo told Mmegi Sport in a post-match interview that his game plan was to win the match against Nico but he nevertheless welcomed the point they gained saying it was better than nothing. He said his plan was to deploy a lone striker and make sure that the rest of the team defended because when given more room, Nico could have scored many goals.

Regarding the goal that his side conceded, Moyo pointed out that it was due to a mere slip-up by the defence. He stated that there was still a good chance for his side to continue playing in the elite league.Prison XI was the first to score on the 12th minute after a brilliant Set-piece that was taken by Olefile Magetse just outside the box. On the other hand, Nico players seemed to be a pale shadow of themselves.

The players easily lost possession and appeared listless throughout the game but Majombolo was able to equalise through Gift Moyo's 69th minute strike.Meanwhile, Bonolo Fraizer has said it is up to management to keep him as his contract expires next month.

But if anyone came with a better offer, he would not hesitate to move on, he said. The lethal striker moved to Nico from ECCO City Greens in 2010 and he currently has 17 goals to his name in the be MOBILE Premier League. He is second to Mochudi Centre Chiefs' Kekaetswe'Mara' Moloi who has 23 goals.

As a parting shot, Fraizer said his stay at Nico has been a positive one as he is now a more disciplined player on and off the field. Nico acting chairperson, Mothusi Taolo was cagey with information when reached for comment. He explained that he would rather not say anything on the matter because 'we do not want to expose ourselves to other teams'.Taolo added that as procedure they would rather negotiate with the player than put themselves under undue pressure.
