Fear as serial killer strikes

Residents of Sebina and surrounding villages claim that the same person is responsible for the spate of rapes, robberies and murders that have rocked their villages, but officer Commanding Number One District, Israel Tuelo says there is no conclusive evidence to support such claims yet.
However villagers are adamant the same assailant is responsible because of the consistency in his modus operandi. They claim that after committing the crimes, the attacker allegedly leaves a scrawled message in the same handwriting. Tuelo said police would intensify their investigations in a concerted effort to arrest the perpetrator.
Last Friday, the head of Sebina Crime Prevention Committee, Gibson Nthubu, said there were rumours that the lunatic, for some strange reason, wants to kill six people, including a senior police officer. So far three people have been killed, thus causing terror among the villagers. During the Kgotla meeting, residents told Senior Superintendent Alakanani Makobo, the Officer Commanding (Number 15 District), that they dread going to their lands.
The villagers said as a result they are starving and becoming impoverished because birds and thieves are raiding their fields.Makobo assured them that the police would leave no stone unturned to ensure the culprit is brought to book.
