All Kasi puts accent on denim range

The brand has recently clinched a two-year deal with football team Extension Gunners to provide them with their kit. The brand has also stepped up their game and launched a denim range. In an interview with Showbiz, marketing director Mokaedi Maplanka said that initially the brand was popular as a lifestyle brand. He said that it is only when they scored the deal with Botswana Football Association (BFA) that they shifted mainly to sports and that is why for a while they became popular for sportswear.

Maplanka said: 'By launching the denim wear we are now going back to our roots and reviving the lifestyle out of All Kasi. It has been overshadowed by sportswear and we want to move from that.'Maplanka said that they were inspired to start the denim range because it has always been a part of the society and it appeals to both women and men alike. He further added that they are looking forward to the denim range making an impact on people, as they want to achieve a major comeback. He said that does not mean that they will be leaving sports wear but rather promoting and pushing the new range. The optimistic Maplanka said that the denim wear was distributed to shops on Monday. He said that thus far people who have seen the range have given positive feedback.

The range consists of seven pieces: four for men and three for women. The pieces for men include shorts, long jeans, sleeves jacket and a long-sleeved shirt. The female's range comprises shorts, long jeans and a long-sleeved jacket. Maplanka said that through the feedback they have already established that at some point they will have to produce a shirt for women as well.  'That is possible because in future we are looking forward to expanding the line and including more denim piece of clothes,' he said. The pieces range from P300 for both men's and women's shorts to P500 for the men's long jeans.
