Is It The BFA Or PLC?

No explanation was given except that it was for reasons beyond their control. This is one of the many times when fixtures have been cancelled at the last minute.

When these cancellations are done, no regard is taken for the teams involved. Teams incur expenses when they prepare for these games.

Someone somewhere  takes these decision and they seem not to care about the repercussions. One would think that the Premier League Committee would be proactive when they take such decisions to inform the teams, and most importantly, the spectators.

We understand that Police XI went to the stadium last Wednesday, only to learn that the game had been cancelled. It looks like Township Rollers were lucky to have received the information, albeit late.

What about the spectators? It is becoming very clear that the spectators, who are important stakeholders, are taken for granted. There are many instances when the spectators will go to a stadium and the game will be delayed or even cancelled and no one will bother to say a thing to them.

Instead they will be running around trying to get information from anyone who might be willing to tell them what is happening. In these cases the spectators will have paid their hard earned cash.

Where does their money go? The spectators will be expected to come again for the same game that was abandoned and pay again. Is this fair on the spectators?

We hear that last week games were cancelled because of the Zebras' trip to Swaziland. Did anyone know about this? As far as we know, this trip was on the cards since last month and the teams could have been informed well in advance.

The Premier League and the Botswana Football Association need to put their house in order. This is a clear indication of bad planning by the football administrators. We hope that in the future, such situations will be avoided.
