The Kgatleng outfit had been shocked by two quick goals in the first fifteen minutes of the game and only few spectators expected them to recover from the debt.
In the first thirty minutes of game, 'Dinare' looked lost and out of breath, still reeling from the shock goals from Coffie Thokwane and Gopolang Nthobatsang. They could only manage a few halfhearted attempts while their opponents enjoyed several forays forward.
Their fans had to wait until the 36th minute when William Molefe opened their account with a header. From that goal, Buffaloes kept their opponents in a tight corner attacking in numbers but they only lacked the killer punch once inside the box. But they did not have to wait much longer before they celebrated again.
A minute before the referee blew for half time, Star Ramponwane levelled the score, once again taking advantage of overweight Wonder goalkeeper, Abram Mautle to head home.
From the break, the Mochudi team looked more organised and composed as they searched fro their first goal of the match. Ramponwane and Jacob Jerry championed their cause putting the hosts under pressure on several occasions but the goals were not coming as expected.
While Buffaloes went all out for the maximum points, they exposed themselves at the back and should have been punished despite having an upper hand. Only Wonder's poor organisation and desperation in front of goal saved them.
In the 70th minute, Wonder caught Buffaloes on the break but Tshokolo Kajana and Nthobatsang did not link well for a clinical finish.
That was not their last mouth watering attack. The police team was back again to haunt Ola Tsae in the Buffaloes goal easily tearing the defence in the 74th minute but once again poor finishing saw them squander yet another golden chance.
Wonder were given a scare in the last ten minutes of the game as the visitors terrorised their penalty area with Jerry and Don Ramphaleng charging like wounded buffaloes. However, their quick fix plan only backfired as they desperately searched for a winning goal.
Wonder has been one of the toughest teams in the First Division but promotion to the Premier League seems to be a distant dream for them. Even they way they play leaves a lot to be desired and one can only wonder what would happen if the team was to gain promotion.
Buffaloes, on the other hand have been on a steady rise but they need to be more forceful and creative in their approach if they are to cause any upsets this season, let alone win the league.
