Last week's debate was the last kick for the presidential candidate’s Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi of BDP, Dumelang Saleshando of Botswana Congress Party (BCP), Duma Boko of the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) and Mephato Reatile of Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) to lobby for votes.
Onalenna Keretswe : Tota rona ga re battle BDP go bua nnete. Masisi must fall ga a direla Batswana sepe gotlhelele. I do not care which party wins as long as it’s not BDP. This is the same party that whenever there is a Forbes event, they prioritise foreigners over us ba re koba rona mo mall’ng as vendors. So, let’s vote wisely.
Goitsemodimo Nkgotla: I have watched the debate and got to hear all the presidents yesterday and still after the debate I have not changed my mind at all I am still voting for BDP. BDP ke party yame ye ke e ratang thata. Le ene Masisi ka mo rata tota. Ga ke bone fa party tsa kganetso di ka nna le tshono ya win against BDP come October 30 when we head to the polls.
Lesedi Koobonye: It was good to see all the presidents sharing their views on the national issues and see that they are aware of them. Mme kgang ke gore mathata a ke one a re tshelang le one almost every day these are the challenges that should have been long addressed. Re ka se emele ditlhopho abo ele gone re reng re bua ka mathata a gompieno. At the end of the day may the best party (win) abo re nna le tsholofelo ya gore batla tokofatsa lefatshe.
Daniel Mmangwako: I didn’t get to watch the whole presidential debate because I was out hustling and came late at home ka gore tota aga gona ditiro mo Botswana unemployment e koo godimo that’s our reality. So, from what I have seen I feel Dumelang Saleshando was excellent during the debate and people might feel that he deserves the votes and I think so too. Tota hela Batswana go batla re chencha puso re bone gore ba re tsholetse eng. Ha go pala re tla tlhopha gape ka 2029.
