New association vows to shape motor industry

The newly formed Botswana Used Motor Vehicles Association has vowed to clamp down on wayward car dealers who taint the image of the motor vehicle dealership industry. Amid concerns of the influx of consumer complaints about the motor industry, the association’s chairman, Arshad Niyaz has promised zero tolerance of unfair business practices.

He said the association is working to bring together motor dealers and address the issues that are raised.

“We are currently in the process of coming up with regulations that will serve as guidelines for the motor industry,” Niyaz said.
