Government has postponed the deadline for the submission of bids for the construction of gas-fired power plants to supply 100MW of electricity.

Deadline for the submission of Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Coal Bed Methane (CBM) power project has been set for July 12, 2017.

In a statement released this week, one of the companies that has an advanced CBM project near Mashoro, Tlou Energy say it has received confirmation from the ministry that they intend issuing an addendum to the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development of up to 100MW of CBM Power and a new closing date will be advised in due course.
