Government intervention saves Zebras

Today we are proudly rejoicing and celebrating after the national football team the Zebras, made us proud, by winning their COSAFA match away to Namibia.

The victory however comes in the backdrop of a painful experience, with no funds for adequate preparations, as well as having had to live with the controversy of the local football league that was threatening to rob the national football team of as many as eight regulars.

Yes, Township Rollers and Mochudi Centre Chiefs players were due to play a league decider during the week, forcing the Zebras coach to avoid selecting them for his final week’s preparations.
