2016 is certainly turning out to be a year of nostalgic films. Some of the yesteryear generations folk tale blockbusters seem to be resurrecting at the big screens. First Mowgli set the tone for jungle tale enthusiasts with the box office record breaker The Jungle Book reboot now Tarzan has to live up to the billing with The Legend of Tarzan in 3D. Apart these two the legendary ghost myth film, Ghostbusters is also back in theatres.

This time colonial power is the main catalyst of attention. “It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash”.
