South African multicultural ensemble, Tshwane Gospel Choir, is set for its debut performance on the Botswana stages during an event dubbed the Blissful Night of Worship, courtesy of the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM), Tlokweng Assembly.

A night of prayer, fun and spiritual divine beckons for gospel music enthusiasts and followers during this annual gospel music concert is to be held on August 30 at AFM Block 7 Hall in Gaborone. Blissful Night of Worship Project Lead, Pako Lekoko, said the mission is to create a vibrant atmosphere, which showcases musical excellence and allows the community to fellowship through a night of powerful Christian worship. She explained that funds to be raised through the show will be put towards financing the construction of the AFM Tlokweng church auditorium, a building that will be more than just a place of fellowship for AFM members on Sundays.

She further said the facility will be a sanctuary that serves the community in various ways through its facilities, which include a nursing room, studio room and offices. “This year we have a great line-up with a mix of local and international artists and groups including Tshwane Gospel Choir, Mpumi Mtsweni, Sesame, Tlotlo Maxson, Tlokweng Assembly of God (BGS), Spirit of True Worship, AFM Tlokweng Praise and Worship team as well as the AFM Tlokweng Mass Choir. Most of our acts for the night are made up of youth. We are on a mission to use this initiative to empower the young people of our nation to utilise and showcase their skills and talents through participation in this show,” Lekoko said.
