The release of his 17th album last week marked another milestone in the life and career of the musician. His latest offering Re Maduo A Lorato illustrates his ‘never say die’ attitude. Being relegated to the music scrap yard by his critics and competitors could have otherwise been prompted by his three-year absence from the scene. His previous album was the 2010 release, Re Tshwana Rotlhe, which failed to re-affirm his stance as a top-notch performer.
Following his appointment as Botswana Musicians Union three years ago, Alfredo says he decided to put his career on hold to avoid conflict of interest. He dismisses claims he went into oblivion after realising he had reached the ceiling.
