TLOKWENG: This year’s summer music festivals have started with a bang with the All White Platinum Experience.

The event was held at the Royal Aria Stadium on Saturday afternoon under the Dark Knights event and Piano Hub Records collaboration.

On the day, the revellers looked dashingy dressed in everything white or any colour that came close. Amapiano pioneer, Kabza de Small headlined the event on the night the genre dominated.

Songstress, Sha Sha livened the occasion jumping on stage just before the sunset. She ushered on to the stage with probably her most popular track, ‘Tender Love’. She followed with a couple of songs from her maiden EP ‘Blossom’ released in 2020.

The singer gave the locals a feel of her just released album ‘I’m Alive’. It was an all-around superb performance from the singer who returned to local shores after almost a year. Felo Le Tee took things a notch higher a little later with Amapiano sub-genre, ‘Rekere’. He put on a lively performance and was on his antics as on some moments he climbed on top of decks.

The crowd was left eating from their palms from the producer and DJ’s performance. Then followed, Kabza de Small with a two-hour long set, the longest of the night. He kept the crowd guessing as he mixed songs from almost his every project. But the crowd seemed to show love more to the songs from his latest album, KOA 2. It was Mhaw Keyz who stole the show on the evening.

His first minutes on stage were, however, disrupted by sound glitches. With key tar on his arm, the singer performed live. He started off with collaboration with Kelvin Momo on the track, ‘Song Cry’. His song ‘Koko’ which was featured by DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small sent the patrons wild. Daliwonga was also his money worth on the night.

The Hip Hop lovers were not left behind as South African DJ PH and local rapper Veezo View put on memorable performances. The only amiss issue was the absence of TOSS and Njelic.
