The partnership, which was unveiled Thursday is worth P80,000. The Fitness and Aerobics event is one of GIMC’s week-long festivities to be held on August 26 at The Grand Palm.
Bomaid chief executive officer, Moraki Mokgosana said they found it fit and important to formulate a strategy that encourages an active lifestyle.
He said that is a key part of the new direction in which Bomaid supports its members’ wellbeing.
“We were excited by the opportunity presented by GIMC Fitness and Aerobics event to share our transforming wellness message with our members and the public. This event aligns perfectly with Bomaid’s intent to actively combat the rising cases of NCDs while supporting a healthier lifestyle in all our members' lives,” Mokgosana said.
GIMC founder and organiser, Thapelo Pabalinga said the partnership will go a long way in ensuring the success of the event as well as encouraging the members' healthy living. Pabalinga explained that the idea to introduce Fitness and Aerobics to GIMC's event lineup was born out of knowing that healthy living breeds happiness.
“It has been successful since we started it in 2019; almost a fully sold-out show. It is by no means that Bomaid is a leading medical aid in Botswana. They care about the communities they work in,” Pabalinga said.
The sponsorship will come in handy for the GIMC organisers who have bemoaned the lack of support from the corporate world.
