Known for bringing the hottest and trendy SA acts Bahama Lounge’s Zaine Aftermath told Arts & Culture in an interview that he decided to choose the African attire theme because he wanted something that they can be proud of as Africans. “We can be beautiful in our own way as Africans and we should go out and have fun with our African attire,” he said. Zaine Aftermath who is hosting another SA singer Nokwazi this coming Sunday said he books these artists on Sundays because they are cheaper to book on Sundays and also because they are fully booked on other dates.
“There are people who like going out on Sunday as well,” he further indicated. Boohle is an Amapiano breakout star who got major recognition when she wrote and sang the hit song Siyathandana on which she collaborated with SA music giant Cassper Nyovest. Boohle real name Buhle Manyathi grew up in Vosluroos, East Johannesburg. Siyathanda is not Boohle’s only number 1 hit. Her song titled Yini Na reached number one on Yfm’s Hot 99 chart with DJ Candii while her other songs like Slala Amalunde made airwaves on radio stations like Jozi FM, Capricon, Kasi FM among many others.
Whether it’s on the song Wamuhle, Mama or Inyembezi, her vocals are making people dance and she is a favorite. Her music is a blend of Amapiano, afro-house, afro-soul, and gospel.
