But Stolen Moments together with The Wine Culture is set to host an unusual event dubbed ‘Bubbles in Spring’. Vince Mosimanewakgang, an event manager for The Wine Culture and also the manager pioneering the ‘Bubbles in Spring’ revealed to Arts & Culture in an interview that they would like to drive away from the wave and do something extraordinary.
“The entertainment lifestyle market is growing and we want to contribute meaningfully to that growth. Furthermore people are always looking for something different outside; so ‘Bubbles in Spring’ is essentially playing a part to feed that market,” Mosimanewakgang revealed.
He added that there is great need for such kinds of events as he feels that Gaborone is in dire need of outdoor events that are all about serenity. Mosimanewakgang further indicated that by hosting this kind of event, they will be alleviating peoples’ costs. “An event like this will make citizens spend their money locally rather than travel outside for these kind of events where they spend more, “ he said. Disclosing the idea behind the event, Mosimanewakgang stated that the event itself is all about class and elegance where people could just let their hair down. “The ‘Bubbles’ event is a celebration of all things sparkling and beautiful.
It will be a day-long spectacle of world class sparkling wine augmented by colourful fashion, delicious food and captivating selection on of Jazz, R&B, Funk and soulful music,” he said. Bubbles tasting will, however, not go throughout till the event ends. He highlighted that popularisation of bubbles has completely transformed the landscapes of alcohol consumption and people should understand it better. “Unlike other beverages, bubbly communicate connotations of high culture and global discerning palates and we want to celebrate the bubbly culture and bring more exciting features to the Gaborone lifestyle, “ Mosimanewakgang revealed.
Fanatics at the event will also get to interact with Kagiso Sento, Andile Ncube from South Africa and Gaone Dintwe.
