Naseem Lahri, the director of Lucara Botswana, a diamond company, has expressed her pride and support for Miss World Botswana, Lesego Chombo, who has been performing admirably at the Miss World Competition in India.
Speaking during a Miss World Botswana conference in Gaborone this morning, Lahri confirmed that Chombo will be adorned with a stunning 33-carat diamond necklace at the competition, showcasing the beauty and elegance of Botswana's gems.
"We are extremely proud of Lesego and all that she has accomplished. She personifies beauty, grace, and intelligence. At the grand finale, she will be adorned with a 33-carat Botswana diamond necklace that Beyoncé and the Kardashians have worn. She will be one of the few people to wear this diamond necklace and we are confident that she will win the crown," Lahri said. She stated that Chombo would make a great Miss World.
"Chombo is a well-rounded individual who excels in everything she does and represents Botswana well. I do not doubt that she will make a great Miss World," Lahri said.
Benjamin Raletsatsi, the director of Miss Botswana, echoed Lahri's sentiments, stating his confidence in Chombo's ability to win the Miss World title.
"Lesego is a truly remarkable woman who has shown exceptional talent and dedication throughout the competition. We believe she has what it takes to win Miss World," Raletsatsi commented.
He also shared his excitement for Chombo's journey, emphasising his pride in witnessing her achievements on a global platform.
"It is a proud moment for us to see Lesego representing Botswana with such elegance and grace at the Miss World competition. She is a shining example of talent and beauty and we have no doubt that she will make us all proud," Raletsatsi said.
He said Chombo has achieved various milestones thus far during the competition in India that has qualified her for a spot in the Top 40.
"Chombo won the head-to-head challenge and is now amongst the Top 10 finalists for the Beauty with a Purpose competition. Chombo also won the Top Model Africa Challenge and secured a spot in the Top 4 of the Top Model Challenge," Raletsatsi highlighted. "She made it to the Top 14 finalists in the talent competition and the Top 32 in the sports challenge. Additionally, she won second place in the Beep Challenge and emerged victorious in the 200m race at the sports finals," he said.
