Cigar Lounges Masquerade Ball Hailed A Success

The self-proclaimed Gaborone’s upmarket lounge, Cigar Lounge hosted an event dubbed Gemini Affair masquerade ball welcoming the month of Gemini in style, on Saturday.

Revellers were given masks to cover their faces, at the event, which was packed to the brim. Cigar Lounge is not new to hosting successful events; it has in the past organised special appearances from South African celebrities like Khanyi Mbau, Maps Maponyane, Thato Malamu of Generations fame as well as Stoan of Bongo Muffin. Cigar Lounge was put on the spot light earlier this year when two young women reportedly tried to have a strip tease escapade. This incident was widely discussed on radio and social media. On Saturday however, attendees were kept on the dance floor by music from DJs Shimrock and Lewa. It was a night of glamour and upbeat music. Some of the men dressed to impress decided to hang around the balcony with some puffing cigars, while the ladies strutted around showing off their fashionable clothing. On June 12 the lounge will be hosting DJ Anthem who was recently signed by South Africa’s big shot, Shota under Shota music. On the day DJ Anthem would officially be releasing his latest single dubbed I’m In-love. Cigar Lounge is located on the rooftop of Mowana Park Mall in Phakalane.
