Having been out of action for the past two years, Cresta Jwaneng Hotel saw it fit to bring the Jwaneng Wine Experience to the mining town on Saturday.

The diamond mining town has fairly quiet weekends but the event brought out people to wine, learn and relax. As a lifestyle event, it managed to pull out people from Jwaneng and surrounding areas with vintage wear as the theme of the day.Some of Botswana's djs and artists graced the stage and set the crowd alive

. Amongst the performers were Nnunu Ramogotsi, Khoisan, Ancestral Ritual and Dj Boogie Sid. The event had a number of sponsors including Botswana tourism, Barloworld, G4S, Distell and many more.

Barloworld had brought some of its luxury cars to showcase at the event and they allowed some guests to test drive and enjoy the experience of fine cars and good driving. Speaking to Showtime Monitor, Sales and Marketing manager, Boitumelo Khama explained that Cresta Jwaneng Hotel is business centric,so an event like the winingone has traction to contribute to the community. Khama also explained that the response from their partners was an indication that they understood the purpose of the event.
