Culture Spears lead singer, Kabelo Mogwe also known as Kulenyane, is mourning the death of his triplet sister, Neo Mogwe who passed away on Friday morning. She died at age 40.

The news of her passing was shared on Culture Spears’ official Facebook account. The post attracted several comments and reactions from Culture Spears fans and some industry colleagues who offered their condolences.

In a brief interview, Kulenyane told Showtime that this is the hardest moment of his life.

“I am still trying to come to terms with the passing of my twin [triplet] sister (sic). She was everything to me; we grew up together, played together, and did everything together. We were one thing. So it’s hard but it is God’s will. He has His plans for all of us. As you know, it happened this morning, so nothing has been decided yet in terms of funeral arrangements,” Kulenyane said.

According to Kulenyane, his sister passed on after a short illness in Kasane. A third in a set, Kulenyane described his two triplet siblings as his pillars when they celebrated their 40th birthday in December 2022.
