Davido comes to Botswana

High-flying Nigerian artist, Davido is coming to Botswana to perform and give a speech during the 2023 Forbes Under 30 Summit Africa in Gaborone on April 23-26.



The afrobeat superstar announced that he will be among the world’s most elite young entrepreneurs and game-changers who will convene in Botswana when the the Under 30 Summit returns to the country this month.

He confirmed his impending visit on his Tweeter account, and the tweet immediately received massive traction. The last time Davido was in Botswana was in 2017 when he performed during the St Louis Fresh Festival.

Davido is currently among the top African artists and has been in the news lately after his fourth studio album, ‘Timeless’ shattered records since it dropped. The 17-track album officially dropped on March 31.

Less than 24 hours after its release, Davido’s ‘Timeless’ peaked at Number 2 on the US Apple Music Album chart, becoming the highest charting album by an Afrobeats artist, in the process. ‘Timeless’ also broke the record for the biggest first-day streams on Spotify Nigeria set by Burna Boy’s ‘Love, Damini’.

Davido will perform alongside; South African artist Nomcebo of the Jerusalema hit fame, another Nigerian Afrobeat artist Fireboy DML as well as local Artists A.T.I and Amantle Brown, Team Distant and KTM Choir. General attendees of the summit will fork about P26 000.
