I released the song today 09/01/23 making it my first release of the year,” explained DoubleUp. The talented singer from Tobane said he is highly honoured about the level of success Batswana have elevated him to as an independent artist.

“Our music industry is a very complicated and hard industry to manoeuver but I am thankful that I have made it this far without tarnishing my brand and business, so that's a blessing on its own,” he said.

He said he is already working on the visuals for the new song, which will be released soon. “Batswana should look out for that,” he added. Despite his steady rise in the music industry, DoubleUp is yet to back it up with a studio album.

His last song released in May 2022 is called Ke kgonne Saatane. The song also did quite well causing a stir on all social media platforms especially on Tik-Tok. “I am definitely compiling something for my fans this year.

I owe them that much for the continued love and support they have been giving me. As for this year, I plan on broadening my reach as an artist and obviously perfecting my craft more as a performer.

With God's grace we will also reach all the milestones we set for ourselves, me and my team,” he explained. DoubleUp, whose real name is Kabelo Lucky Matome, started his music career in 2017 before he got his biggest breakthrough in 2019 following the release of the hit Thukwi le mala.
