Elias Wins Miss Botswana Crown

A 24-year-old entrepreneur, Moitshepi Elias was crowned Miss Botswana 2018 in an event that was at best disorganised at Masa Square on Friday night.

Neelo Nthobatsang was crowned first princess while Modioki Gaborone won the second princess title. Development Advance Institute (DAI), a company engaged to restructure the pageant failed to deliver on its promises and instead the event was more like a pre-school affair.

The grand finale that only attracted three eligible contestants from last year’s pageant started late with the first parade starting almost two hours late.
