A number of fashion and music fanatics thronged Tashy's Royale Garden where Colourful People Entertainment hosted a fashion event dubbed Doek and Jeans.

As it is the norm, Colourful People Entertainment hosted yet another beautiful fashion event to celebrate the beauty of African women and their cultural wear, doek (head wrap or scarf) infused with jeans that still remain fashionable after so many years.

The event is known through occasions such as Leteisi on Fleek and African Attire on Fleek that attracted a number of fans and became some of the biggest events in Botswana. Even though the event has been themed Doek and Jeans, many revellers opted to wear white tops, shirts and t-shirts so that their outfits stand out and blend well.

The Doek and Jeans festival was supposed to take place in December last year but was postponed. On Saturday, the event attracted a number of people. Even though many women wore jean trousers and tops, some opted to wear jean shorts and skirts. However, a handful of them decided not to match the theme and wore bikers shorts with tops and colourful scarfs.

While many dressed to kill, the DJs ensured that they kept the revellers dancing throughout the festival. As always, Kabelo Tiro also famed as Scavenger treated his fans with beautiful performance. He started off his performance with gospel songs such as Emmanuel and others. He then treated them with both his old and new songs including the most loved Ba Ga Mmangwato. He also advised fellow men to take care of their partners and treat them well. The Afro-pop artist also dedicated his love songs to women.

After Tiro's beautiful performance, Mabrino Drum Boys from Pretoria in SA treated the audience to a beautiful performance. The duo made sure they kept the revellers captivated with their energetic performance. While the other played drums, danced and made some flame by burning spirit playing the drums, the DJ guy worked his magic on the system driving revellers wild with the good music beats.

They also danced like their lives depended on the show. On the other hand, even though he is known as a crowd puller, Dr Vom's performance was not as good as it normally is. He even stopped singing in the middle of his performance chatting with the DJ while the revellers who seemed not to notice or care much sung. However, the energetic SA Afro Pop singer Ntando saved the day with his usual energetic performance. He later invited Dr Vom back to stage and the duo sung his famous song that the audience had been asking for.

A very passionate and talented female, DJ Pruluv from Metro FM in South Africa took stage by the storm. Even though her performance started off in a low note, she engaged the crowd and got them eating from her palm as they danced the night away.
