The mining town of Jwaneng, which is commonly known for hosting big events like the Toyota 1,000km Desert Race will host its first ever outdoor social event. Dubbed Jwaneng Chillas it will be held on October 28, 2017 at Debswana Club Garden.

Speaking to Showbiz the event manager, Kabo Komanyane from Crispy 360 Event Company said that he came up with the concept after being inspired by the growth of outdoor events happening in Gaborone.

He said that he realised that Jwaneng lacks fresh entertainment that brings together families and friends in a relaxed and fun-filled environment. “I realised that Jwaneng is a good place for this event because the community is not used to weekend chill vibes therefore we want to introduce this kind of fresh entertainment to them.  The town itself is a business opportunity because the population comprises of workers,” Komanyane noted.
