Han C's immense talent continues to get recognition after winning almost all of the awards he was nominated for at the 12th Botswana Music Union (BOMU) awards held at the Royal Aria in Tlokweng on Saturday.

Celebrating his successes this year after being awarded Best Album of The Year, he asked the audience to give him a standing ovation whilst still alive.

He scooped four awards namely the Best Album of The Year with his album dubbed Tears of Joy, Best Male, Best Afro Pop and Best Single. Just recently, Han C scooped a number of awards as well at the Yarona FM Music Awards (YAMAs).

He also on Saturday announced that he was nominated for two international awards which also marked a great milestone in his music career and he surely deserved a standing ovation. Meanwhile, DJ Ngwazi also bagged a couple of awards namely the Song of The Year, Best Music Video and Best Amapiano Album Awards.

On the other hand, the RnB song bird Samantha Mogwe scooped the Best RnB Award and the Best Collabo, which she shares with fellow music sensation Mpho Sebina on their song, Marang. The Kwasa Kwasa artist, Bee Mosika, scooped the Best Kwasa Kwasa Award while Elnny Kumar won the Best Female Award. Other artists who did not go home empty handed include Rra Namane, DKSB who also shared Best Single Award with Han C, Tshepo Lesole, LB Thagas, Maghebula, Lister Boleseng and Khoza Mkhozeni.

Local artists blessed the audience with beautiful music performances while the masters of ceremonies kept them captivated. Moreover, this year's BOMU awards dress code was elegant and the revellers who are mostly in the creative industry listened.

The women who did not want to miss the red carpet ceremony looked stunning in their different gorgeous evening dresses. However, it seems like long one hand dresses that are slit on the side are in fashion as about 80% of women wore them.

Even though the designs seemed a bit different, the style was almost the same. The women complemented their attires with beautifully designed bags and they made sure their hairstyles complemented their outfits. The gentlemen did not want to be left behind as they also came in dressed to kill.

Even though some opted to wear their beautiful designer suits, some decided to go for different drip outfits to express themselves, which also made them look unique. Some went for some pair of sneakers with shorts, matching t-shirts, hats and some designer shades (sunglasses) while others wore some casual pants, muscle tops or body hugging t-shirts, some jewellery and either sneakers or formal shoes to compliment the overall look. However, the awards crew opted to go for black outfits that made the whole event breath taking as no one can ever go wrong with black.
