A new entertainment hole called #Hashtag Shisanyama & Lounge officially opened its doors in Gaborone on Thursday.

The brand new outlet is situated in Extension 10, where it was formerly popularly known as Campus Bar. With the entertainment space continuously evolving and the competition for customers getting tougher, the owners say the new joint is set to shake, stir and sizzle the city’s social lifestyle.

The owners believe they have a product that offers convenient and comfort entertainment among others. During the launch on Thursday, invited guests, which included the who’s who of the entertainment industry, were given an appetiser of what is to come.

The seating arrangement is well structured and offers a relaxed and comfortable experience. The layout offers an intimate yet hospitable atmosphere for customers with enough space for everyone.

According to the founding director, Exotic Sebina #Hashtag Shisanyama & Lounge was brought about by the lack of proper braai or shisanyama in the city centre. “Tota all places around are using grillers, which doesn’t give you the original flavour of braaied meat.

These are only found in Mochudi or Tlokweng.

We always have international tourists who always ask where the best shisanyama is in town and we have to take them to these places, but now #Hashtag Shisanyama has come in to fill that space.

We offer the best braai meat with that flavour right at the centre of the city,” Sebina said.

He also said the area offers convenient, affordable and safe fun for customers as well as a place where they can entertain themselves with a level of mutual respect. He said their prices are inclusive and affordable. “We will be serving lunch from Monday to Friday which is affordable ranging from P40-P60. Braai will be done from Friday to Sunday.

We promise to offer a safe and fun experience for our customers on daily basis,” he added. Furthermore, he said they have employed over 35 people. This includes waiters, waitresses, security, bartenders, chefs, accountants and cleaners.
