Local disco artists thrilled music lovers at the People’s Festival at Metsimotlhabe on Saturday night. The show, which is usually headlined by veteran South African disco musician, Dan Tshanda, of Dalom Music, pitted local disco artists and few guest artists from South Africa. Despite not attracting a large crowd as it is usually the case with the “Splash tours”, the locals did not disappoint as they treated their fans to an entertaining night.

Without big name artists headlining the show, the festival kicked off slowly and dull, but picked tempo when Ounah took to the stage. The pint-sized musician got the crowd dancing and singing along. Song after song, Ounah and her dancers dished entertaining music that left the audience asking for more.

Female artists proved to be favourites as compared to their male counterparts judging by the reception  from the fans. Other artists who performed after Ounah also kept the fans on their feet.
