In an endeavor to bring families together and strengthen bonds, Marang Madisa will host the Kgatleng Family Fun Day at Stay well Gardens Rasesa on December 3, 2022.

In an interview with Arts & Culture, Madisa said the event was formed to bring families together, have fun and entertainment while strengthening their bond. She added that it was going to create an opportunity to build rapport among families and friends.

She further stated that children from three months to 18 years would also be catered for. Furthermore, Madisa pointed out that they would be having several activities such as swimming, quad bikes and horse riding.

She also said adults would be treated to several activities that include but not limited to music from several DJs and artists, drinks, dikhwaere and football match. "I have not organised this event by myself but have Gofaone Ezekiel and Ontlametse Tsheole who will be working hand in hand with me to ensure that it succeeds.

We will be hosting international artists and our very own local artists .The international artists are Sdala, Paige and DJ Ngwazi. Our local ones include Baxon, FME DJs, Ancestral Rituals, BJB, T.H.A.B.O, Bobo-Max, Hapex Guru, Boyca and many more," she said.

She also urged the public to come in numbers to the event saying security would be very tight. She explained that they engaged security called Max's Bouncers to ensure that their clients and their goods are safe. Moreover, she explained that they hosted their first Kgatleng Family Fun Day event and it was a success.

She said both the children and adults enjoyed the event hence their decision to host the upcoming event which will be the second. "In future we wish to invite the less privileged kids to come for free and have some good time and if the profit is high we will donate some of the money to the orphanages. However, we also face challenges hosting events of this magnitude.

One of those challenges is my team failing to come for meetings on time but the biggest one is money, it’s never enough. Sometimes the weather doesn't favour us or there will be another event in the same surrounding, so people would not attend in the expected numbers," she said. So far, this young woman says she prides herself in having organised two events without sponsors.

She called on the public and business communities to sponsor the event. She added that they were selling tickets for the event where adults t-shirts are sold at P130 and P80 for children. She promised that the event would be fun filled.

Tickets for the Kgatleng Family Fun Day are sold at Puma Pilane, Engen Phaphane, Webtickets or at any Spar supermarket. Tickets are sold as follows: children from six-12 years P30; teenagers aging between 13- 19 years P50 and adults P100 and at the Gate it is P150.
